Giddapahar Estate is a small family owned estate also known as “Eagles Cliff”. The 110 acre garden was purchased by the Shaw family in 1888 and has remained with them since. The height of the garden is at 4864 feet above sea level and produces some very delicate Darjeeling teas due to the lower temperatures here and also because the area is covered by mist for a good part of the year. Due to the temperature, the tea bushes from the estate produce a fine bouquet with great aromatic quality and a delicate floral smell.
